Adam Booth, named the 2022 West Virginia Folk Artist of the Year, blends traditional mountain folklore, music, and contemporary Appalachian life into his original stories. He has performed at premier storytelling events across the United States, including the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. A Mid Atlantic Arts Touring Roster artist, Booth has been a Spoken Word Resident at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada, and a keynote storyteller for the 2025 Sydney International Storytelling Conference. Adam serves as the inaugural Storyteller-in-Residence at Shepherd University and is also the Founding Artistic Director of the Speak Story Series.
