Called “riveting” by the New York Times, Laura Simms is an award-winning storyteller who performs, teaches, and conducts projects worldwide. She combines traditional stories with personal narratives and has performed at venues that include the Lincoln Center, The Mumbai International Theater Festival, and the Nobel Peace Prize Festival. Simms has received the Brimstone Award for Engaged Storytelling, the Sesame Street “Sunny Days” award for her work with children worldwide, and the NSN ORACLE Circle of Excellence, Talking Tree, and Lifetime Achievement awards. Presently she works with The Constellation, a humanitarian collaboration, and is the artistic director of the iconic Hans Christian Andersen storytelling series in Central Park, NY.
