We’ll explore timing, contrast, escalation, surprise, and punchline indicators, giving tellers repeatable tools to generate laughter inside any story, from personal narrative to folklore. More than just telling jokes, this workshop will teach you how humor actually works inside a story, so you can use it with more confidence, clarity, and control. Paul Strickland is a professional storyteller and theatre artist who lives in Kentucky. Strickland has performed in theaters, festivals, comedy clubs, and more – selections from his show, Levels of Difficulty, can be heard on SiriusXM radio.
